How does ZANTAC® work?
ZANTAC® tablets work by reducing the production of excess stomach acid, which causes the burning and discomfort of heartburn and acid indigestion. ZANTAC® provides fast relief, treatment and prevention, day or night, of the following symptoms:
When should I take ZANTAC®?
ZANTAC® can be taken either in response to heartburn symptoms or prior to meal consumption to help prevent heartburn. ZANTAC® can be taken with or without food.
Which ZANTAC® product should I use?
You can get Zantac® in 2 strengths – 75mg and Maximum Strength 150mg. It’s also available in Cool Mint 150mg. The cool mint provides an instant soothing minty cooling sensation while ZANTAC® prevents future symptoms of heartburn and acid indigestion. Learn more about our products here .
What are the possible side effects of taking ZANTAC®?
Common side effects that have occurred with ZANTAC® include headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In case of drug overdose, contact a health care practitioner, hospital emergency department or regional Poison Control Centre immediately, even if there are no symptoms.

Can my children take ZANTAC®?
Children 16 years and older can take ZANTAC®. Before giving ZANTAC® to children younger than 16 years of age, consult with your healthcare professional.
How should I take all ZANTAC® products?
Adults and children 16 years and older: Take one tablet swallowed whole with a glass of water when symptoms appear, day or night. If symptoms persist for more than 1 hour or return after 1 hour, a second tablet may be taken. The maximum dosage is 2 tablets in a 24-hour period.
For prevention of symptoms brought on by consuming food or beverages, 1 tablet should be taken 30 to 60 minutes before eating a meal or consuming beverages expected to cause symptoms. Consult your doctor if symptoms get worse or continue after 14 days of treatment. ZANTAC® and antacids should be taken one hour apart.

How should I keep ZANTAC®?
Keep in a safe place out of reach and sight of children. Store between 15 and 30°C. Avoid excessive humidity.
